Harris, Mark James, Billy Earl Paris, Henrietta "Etta"
Mark Harris, 48, of Krum, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2008 in Denton. He
was born September 10, 1959 in Denton, TX to Olen Clarence Harris (Shorty) and
Billie Dean Cheatham. He graduated from Krum High School in 1978. He worked
for Peterbilt for 22 years. Mark was a member of the Texas Bison Association.
He was a member of the AQHA, the North Texas Cutting Horse Association, and
the American Cutting Horse Association. He was also a member of the First
Baptist Church in Denton. He raised buffalo and loved working with horses.
A visitation will be held Friday, June 6, 2008 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Denton
Funeral Home. A graveside service will be Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 10 a.m. at
Bolivar Cemetery in Sanger. Carl Roberson will officiate.
Survivors include his wife Mitzie Wortman; stepsons, Ronnie Hale Jr., and
Bobby Hale; stepdaughter, Stephanie Martinez; step grandchildren, Beau and
Kayden Martinez; and numerous extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Gary.

DECATUR -- Billy Earl James, 68, a loving and devoted Christian husband,
father and grandfather, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ, on Sunday, June 8, 2008, after a yearlong battle with prostate cancer.
Memorial service in celebration of his life, a memorial service will be held
at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at First Baptist Church, 1200 West Preskitt,
Decatur, Texas 76234.
Bill was born on February 29, 1940, in Denton, Texas to R. V. (Dutch) and Eula
Estelle (Coulter) James. He graduated from Ponder High School, and married his
high school sweetheart and love of his life, Marie Ashcraft, on August 21,
1958. Bill owned, and operated his own body repair business and love "bringing
old metal back to life". He also restored vintage automobiles and received top
honors in the shows that he entered. He was truly a master craftsman, and was
well respected in his field. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed fishing, golfing
and gardening. He will be missed by all who knew him.
The family gives special thanks to Solaris Hospice, for their love, and caring
support during the past month.
His parents; and his brother Raymond preceded Bill in death.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marie James of Decatur; his two
wonderful sons, Steven James and wife, Karen of Fort Worth and Russell James
and his wife, Donna, also of Fort Worth; four precious grandchildren, Chase
James of Fort Worth, and Alex, Andi and Sam James of Fort Worth; sister, Patsy
James of Denton; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Private family burial will be at the Bolivar Cemetery in Bolivar, Texas.~ ~ ~

Henrietta "Etta" Paris, 88, of Krum passed away Friday, May 09, 2008 at Denton
Regional Medical Center. She was born April 26, 1920 in Iowa. She married
Oscar Vernon "Jake" Paris. He preceded her in death. She was a member of Krum
First Baptist Church. She had been a member of VFW Post #2205 in Denton for
years.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 11, 2008 from 3 – 5 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral
Directors. Graveside service will be Monday, May 12, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at
Bolivar Cemetery, west of Sanger with Rev. Buddy Owens officiating.
She is survived by nieces Barbara Canady and Twylla Harper, both of Krum and
many friends. He is preceded by her husband, Jake Paris and son, Jackie Paris.
