About the cemetery: This small cemetery is one of the earliest cemeteries for Sterling County, located within 3 miles of the county line between Mitchell County and Sterling County. This property was donated to the community by Adolph Wood, Sr. in the early 1800's. (No exact date is known) From Sterling City - go North on HYwy 163 (22 Miles) twenty two miles and the cemetery sits on the west side of the road. From IH-20 at Westbrook, go South on FM 670 for 9 miles. Turn right on Hwy 163 for 19 miles. Cemetery sits on right side of the road.
