History: The land for the Stacy Cemetery was donated by T. A. Powell. He donated it for the cemetery with the stipulation that anyone could be buried there and they were not to be charged. He also donated the land for the one room school house to the north of the cemetery.

   STACY  CEMETERY
Stacy Cemetery is located in Northwest McCulloch County, 6 miles north  of Doole, on FM.  Rd. 503.  The cemetery is operated and maintained by
the Doole-Stacy Cemetery Association.  As of this writing, the Administrator is Allie Nette Browning, and the Caretaker is Ronald
Partusch.  Each has a listing of known burials, and Mrs. Browning has a map of the cemetery.  A cemetery listing and map are also available at Richards Memorial Library in Brady.   The cemetery is laid out in rows running north and south.   Some rows are not completely straight.  The information for this list was taken by row, starting with the row nearest the front gate    (highway side) and progressing down each row, north to south, then    south to north, alternating directions on each row.  Husbands and wives are shown when the relationship is obvious from the style and/or   placement of markers, or when information from informed relatives or     from obituaries or similar documents indicate the relationship.    There were 415 graves which were found in the 1999 listing.  Some of   these could not be identified, either because there was no stone, or the stone was not legible.    Names that have dates but that do not have a row location  have come   from  researched records and do not have markers.  The oldest burial   which could be identified was that of John B. Trott, who was born 4  July 1814 and died 13 November 1896.
