ELLISON CEMETERY

Mason Co. Cemeteries of Tx

AUGUST 7, 2003

Photos & submitted by Eva Ellison Bush

This tiny cemetery is located in the Northeast part of Mason County off of FM 2618 on Brockman Road .  Most of the stones in this cemetery are deteriorating and are very difficult to read.

I am a direct descendant of William B. and Mary Ann Self Ellison.  William was the son of Keziah "Kizzie" Jones Ellison Burnett and all three are buried in this cemetery.   (Eva Bush)

M. P. CROCKER

JAN. 28, 1852 Died JAN. 3, 1892

I believe this to be the sister of Mary Ann Self Ellison and that would be Margaret P. Self Crocker.  The headstone is the same as that of Mary Ann's.

ALEX (Richard Alexander) FERGUSON

APR. 19, 1866  Died FEB. 14, 1939

Broken stone with the initial's K. B. - I believe this to be the gravesite of Kizzie Burnett born about 1877 in Bexar County, Texas.  She was the daughter of William Davis & Keziah Jones Burnett.

Appears to be a few more unmarked graves, but grass too high and temperature unbearable to make an accurate count or description.
