The cemetery was established: in 1890 on land donated
by the G W Tanner family and consists of approximately two acres. Oldtimers say that when the cemetery was established
there was probably a church and school there as well The cemetery
is well-kept and is maintained by donations sent in by families
of deceased members buried there and memorials given and is under
the supervision of Joyce LeFevre (Mrs Delbert) and her assistants.
At the center front of the cemetery there is a memorial placed
by Mrs. Joe Frances (Whit) Clark which reads:
Fairview Cemetery 1890 - 1982
To honor all those who rest here
Erected in remembrance of Whit Clark
