ODESSA — Cleta Lillian Wineberg, 93, of Odessa, passed away Saturday, August
14, 2004, at her residence.
Mrs. Winberg was born August, 28, 1910, in Lamar County, Paris, Texas, to R.O.
and Simmie Stuart. She moved to Odessa in 1927 and since then was a member of
the 6th and Jackson Church of Christ. She attended Odessa High School and worked
as a sales clerk for Jack Nolan Photography Studio. On October 6, 1934, in
Odessa, she united in marriage to B.K. “Slim” Wineburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Slim Wineburg; parents; daughter,
Bobbie J. Martin; and sisters, Ninnie Steffey, Mildred Nolan and Veta Votaw. She
is survived by grandson, Jim B. Martin of Oklahoma; granddaughter, Jaime Webster
of Oklahoma; nephew, Gordon S. Votaw of Odessa, Texas; great-grand nephews, Jeff
S. Votaw of Gillette, Texas, Jon H. Easley of Odessa, Jay A. Easley of Kermit,
David Clark of Odessa and Lowell Steffey of Brookston, Texas; niece, Sara Easley
of Odessa; great-grand niece, Jene Brown of Midland, Texas; good friend, Judy
Wallum of Odessa; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbears will be Jim Bob Martin, Gage Martin, James Poor, Charles Webster, Jim
French and David Clark, Honorary pallbearers are Dr. J.D. Cone, Ken Griffin, Jon
Easley and Jay Easley.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 19, 2004, at Sunset
Memorial Gardens with Bro. Lynn Money officiating. Family will visit with
friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, August 18, 2004, at Odessa Funeral Home.
