Ava Brownlee Van Bramer
LONGVIEW — Funeral services for Ava Brownlee Van Bramer, 85, of
Longview will be held at 10 a.m. today, Sept. 1, 2004, at Macedonia
Baptist Church in Longview with the Rev. Steve Cochran officiating.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, 2004, at Sunset
Memorial Gardens in Odessa. Arrangements are under the direction of
Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Mrs. Van Bramer died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004, in a Longview hospital. She
was born Jan. 5, 1919, in Nimrod and had been a resident of Longview for
the past 3 1/2 years, moving from Odessa. She was a longtime resident of
Odessa, where she was a member of the Second Baptist Church and later
was an active member of the First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Van Bramer enjoyed hand work, sewing and cooking. After moving to
Longview, she joined the First Baptist Church and was an Ambassador of
Buckner Westminster Place, where she was proud to be a resident.
Mrs. Van Bramer was preceded in death by her first husband C.F. Brownlee
in 1979, and her husband Roger Van Bramer in 2000.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons and daughters-in-law, Max
and Cindi Brownlee of Boulder, Colo., and Don and Pat Brownlee of
Hallsville; grandchildren, Aimee, Beau, Blake, Bradley and Blaire
Brownlee; brother and sisters-in-law, W.H. Munn and his wife Troy, and
Ruth Munn, all of Odessa; stepson, David Van Bramer and his wife Kay of
Pow; stepdaughters, Comilla Thompson of Houston and Jo Rita Olliff of
Odessa; grandson, Tim Brownlee of Boulder, Colo.; and numerous nieces
and nephews.
