ODESSA Ruth
Lorraine Perry, 80, of Odessa, passed away Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004, in Odessa,
Texas.
Mrs. Perry was born August 30, 1924, in Seward, Okla., to Fred Sizemore and Mary
Dutton Sizemore. She resided in Tulia, TX, until 12 years ago when she moved to
Odessa to be near her family.
Ruth was raised in Apache, Oklahoma, and educated in Stecker, Oklahoma. She had
many jobs over the years before retiring. They included being a waitress,
farmer, rancher, and a landlord, but her most important job was her family.
Ruth is survived by her two sons, Russell Perry and wife, Deborah, and David
Perry and wife, Marie, all of Odessa; four granddaughters, Amy Troutz and
husband, Rusty, Tammy Irvine and husband, Jeremy, Candice Perry and Victoria
Perry, all of Odessa; one grandson, Jeremy Perry, currently serving in The Army,
stationed in Ft. Hood, Texas; and twin great-granddaughters, Makenzie Troutz and
Aubrey Troutz of Odessa. She also had many friends who loved her as well.
Ruth was preceded in death by two husbands, Jack Jones and Gilbert Perry; three
brothers, Harold, Melvin and Fred Sizemore Jr.; and three sisters, Mildred,
Pauline, and Imogene. She was the last living sibling of the Sizemore family.
Graveside funeral services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, November
17, 2004, at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Sunset Memorial
Funeral Home.
