Jeanette Bowden Mehaffey

ODESSA Jeanette Bowden Mehaffey, 77, of Odessa, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born February 26, 1927, in Santa Anna, TX. She married Jay Mehaffey August 8, 1989, in Odessa, he died March 2, 2001.
She graduated from Odessa High School and Texas Tech University. She was a volunteer in a lot of the community organizations and was a past president of the Junior Service League. She was a real estate broker and a stockbroker.
She was a furniture retailer and a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
She enjoyed playing the piano, bridge and in later years golf.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Phillips and wife, Anna, of Burnet and Harry Phillips and wife, Penne, of Austin; brother, Jim Bowden of El Paso; and sisters, Doris Wendt of Kerrville and Jane Pettit of Houston. She is also survived by her five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2004, at the Westminster Presbyterian Church with Rev. Cheryl Homsher officiating.
Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
