Rose Mary Ager Davidson
Odessa Rose Mary Ager Davidson was born September 24, 1917, in Oilton,
Oklahoma.
She passed away at Hospice House November 24, 2004.
Mary, as she was called, lived a full 87 years. She is preceded in death
by her husband, Denton “Doc” Davidson; two brothers, J.W. Ager and
John F. Ager; and her parents William and Nora Lobaugh Ager.
Mary worked many jobs, but most of her employment was with a trucking
business as a rate clerk. At one time she and her husband also ran their
own trucking company.
After retirement, Mary became involved in many social activities in the
community. She served as a Pink Lady at the Globe Southwest and also
served drinks at the North Side Senior Center on Wednesdays.
Mary joined several clubs that she enjoyed. Two of these were the Garden
club and a Study Club. She was also a member of a Women’s Business
Club.
Mary played the organ and piano for many years at West University
Baptist Church. She enjoyed the Dorcus Class and Kit Group at First
Baptist and also the Perky Peers.
Mary lived the last few years of her life at Seabury Nursing Home before
being moved to Hospice House. Mary’s family has deep appreciation for
the care she received at both institutions.
Mary is survived by her brother Nedford T. Ager and his wife Dolores;
two sisters-in-law, Stella Davidson and Stella Jo Ager; two nieces,
Carla “Trixie” Wheeler and husband Marcus and Marilyn Ager; nephew,
Brian Ager and wife Julie; three great nieces and 10 great-great nieces
and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday November 27, 2004, at
Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Johnny Young officiating.
The family asks that donations be made to Seabury Nursing Home or
Hospice House instead of flowers.
