COMANCHE, Okla. Walter “Skip” Berry, 76, of Comanche, Okla., retired
owner and operator of Sleep Rest Mattress Company, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2004,
at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Praise Assembly of God Church with the
Rev. W.W. Harkins officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Sunset
Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
He was born in Empire, Okla. He was a member of Praise Assembly of God Church.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Clara Berry of Comanche; son, David Berry of Joshua Tree,
Calif.; daughters, Saundra Berry Spratlen of Odessa, and Nancy Martin, Teresa
Luersen and Kathy Paceco, all of Joshua Tree; stepdaughters, Ginger Berry of
Waurika, Okla., Patricia Robinson of Wichita Falls, Nancy Roebuck of Comanche,
Geline Windholz of Weathford, Okla., and Judy Fulcher; stepson, Bobby Fulcher;
14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; and eight
great-grandchildren.
