Peggy L. Wallace

MIDLAND — Peggy Louise Wallace, of Midland, Texas, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2004.
She was born July 8, 1944, to Derk Fredrick Van Maanen, Jr. and Renee Marie Abbe Van Maanen in Dallas, Texas. Peggy was raised and educated in Odessa, Texas, graduating from Permian High School in 1962. She also attended Odessa College and American Commercial College. Prior to her retirement in 1998, Peggy had been employed with Texaco in Midland, Texas, for 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Johnny Van Maanen.
Peggy is survived by her children, J. Don Wallace of Midland, Texas, Robert Wallace and his wife, Michelle, of Midland, Texas, Lynne Wallace of Rock Springs, Wyo., and Cary Wallace and his wife, Wendy, of Seattle, Wash.; the father of her children and lifetime friend, Dennis A. Wallace of Midland, Texas; grandchildren, Brittanie Brittain of Midland, Texas, Paige and Bailee Wallace of Midland, Texas, Jackson Peterson of Rock Springs, Wyo., and Myka and Crayson Wallace of Seattle, Wash.; and aunt and uncle, Louise and R.E. Frederick of Cedar Hill, Texas.
Peggy’s family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Robert Vogel, Dr. Susan Kutz, Hospice of Midland, Judy Webster and David Nicholas.
The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home, Thursday, June 17, 2004, between the hours of 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2004, at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa, Texas, with Father Mark Woodruff officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home, 801 Andrews Hwy.
