James L. “Jim” Uhlhorn
ODESSA — James L. “Jim” Uhlhorn, 69, passed away Saturday, July 3,
2004, at his residence in Odessa, with his family at his side.
He was born June 30, 1935, to Harold and Selma Uhlhorn in Rosebud. He
married Mary McClure on July 14, 1954, in Fort Worth, later moving to
Odessa in 1969.
He was self-employed for over 25 years as a truck mechanic and
thoroughly enjoyed his work. He also served in the National Guard. He
loved working at his church, Emmanuel Lutheran, and also enjoyed
watching his grandchildren play sports.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral
Home Chapel with Revs. Terry Meyer and Don Loudenback officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Coby Uhlhorn, Troy Uhlhorn, Aaron Hoodie, Jeremy
Hodo, Michael Cowley, Stephen Mainka, and Justin Mainka.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Mary Uhlhorn of Odessa; sons, Billy Ray Uhlhorn and
wife, Lisa, of Odessa; Kenneth James Uhlhorn and wife, Sue, of Ranger,
and Samuel Lee Uhlhorn of Budda; daughter, Dorothy Gayle Mainka and
husband, Richard, of Odessa; sister, Linda Eldridge and husband, Danny,
of Martinsville, Va.; one brother, Ralph Uhlhorn and wife, Jo, of
Granbury; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces
and nephews.
