ODESSA — Harrell Dean Tindall, 56, of Odessa, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 13, 2004. He was at home surrounded by his family. Mr. Tindall was born June 26, 1947, in Morrilton, Arkansas, to Ray Tindall and Era Stell Tindall. He married Elizabeth “Libby” Tindall on June 3, 1966, in Odessa, Texas. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church for over 26 years. Harrell was a quiet man but showed his faith in Christ by the way he lived each day. He worked for Bowen Tools for over 34 years and was currently employed by Logan Oil Tools.
Harrell is survived by his wife, Libby; a daughter, Janeen Hartsfield and husband, Lance of Dilley; a son, Harrell Tindall Jr. and wife, Glenna of Odessa; parents, Ray and Era Tindall; brother, Billy Ray Tindall and wife, Bonnie, of Casa Ark; sisters, Betty Ruth Ingram and husband, J.C., and Judy Ann Cabral and husband, Charles, of Odessa; grandchildren, Kathleen and Levi Hartsfield and Ashley, Amanda, Amber, and Harrell Dean Tindall III. He has several aunts and uncles with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Denice Tindall.
Harrell was an avid hunter. Deer season was his favorite time of year. Getting all the family together at the deer camp was one of “Grandpa’s” delights. He always enjoyed being surrounded by his “yungens.” Funeral services are scheduled for 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Counts and Rev. Craig Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jerry Branum, David Robinson, Bill Parker, Larry Bryant, Bobby Schneider and Jeff Hughes. Very special thanks to all our friends and family as well as the staff at Star Hospice and especially to Dr. J.B. Naidu.
Services entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
