Sandi Stone

ODESSA — Sandi Stone, 53, of Odessa, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2004, at Midland Memorial Hospital. She was born January 25, 1951, in El Paso, Texas, to Robert C. and Rose Cannefax.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. July 27, 2004, at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Bugg officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
She married Verlon Stone on Oct. 15, 1971, in Odessa. She worked for E.C.I.S.D. transportation for 25 years as a driver specialist. She dedicated herself to her job and family. She enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening. Sandi was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mom and MeMe. The most important things in her life were her grandchildren who brought such joy into her life. Sandi was diagnosed with cancer in 2001 and has had very trying times with auto-immune illness. She was a strong person who held on as long as she could. She was taken to heaven to be with her husband and is now at peace.
Her husband, Verlon Stone, preceded her in death. She is survived by her parents, Bob and Rose Cannefax of Borger; daughter, Kelbi Kerby of San Antonio; son, Ryan Stone of Odessa; sisters, Karen Cannefax of Borger and Jill Griswold of Snyder; and a brother, Craig Cannefax of Borger. She had four precious grandchildren who thought the world of their MeMe. She will be greatly missed by all.
