Delores Wright Steelman

ODESSA — Delores Wright Steelman, age 54, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital.
She was born December 18, 1949, to John J. and Mary Wright in Comanche Co. TX, and was the youngest of eleven children. She graduated in 1967 from Odessa High School, and later married her high school sweetheart, Charles Steelman on April 26, 1969, in Perryton, TX. They moved to Odessa in May 2004 from Garland, TX, and were members of West Park Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, and three nephews.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Charles Steelman of Odessa; sons Chris Steelman of Garland and Doug Steelman of Mesquite; mother-in-law Alma Steelman of Odessa; brother Jimmy Wright of Wylie; sisters Pat Carlisle of Hamilton, Shirley Hodges of Iowa Park, Maxine Plummer of Paris, Joyce Weems of Odessa, Jessie Richardson of DeLeon and Jackie Osburn of Big Spring; sister-in-law Terry Palmer of Odessa; grandchildren Michael Steelman and Dakota Steelman of Big Spring; and Joey, Will, and Betty Steelman of Garland; 32 nieces & nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Services are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
