Felton Allen Smith

ODESSA — Felton Allen Smith passed away Thursday July 29, 2004, in New Mexico.
He was born March 22, 1941, in Big Spring to Henry Allen and Gladys Boatman Smith.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church in Odessa with Dr. David Mindel officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Felton married Jane Tripp on Nov. 21, 1997, in Odessa, where he quickly endeared himself as “Da-do” to their grandchildren.
Felton played football for Ector High School and then graduated from Texas Tech with a degree in accounting. He was the owner of Fitting & Smith CPA firm in Midland. Felton was an avid MOJO fan, seldom missing a booster meeting or a game.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Smith, of Odessa; children, Bryan Tripp of Dallas, Lori Gray and husband Kevin of Odessa, Randall “R.J.” Smith of Dallas and Jill Clark and husband Joe of San Antonio; brother, Gene Smith and wife Penny of Odessa; sisters, Jo Ann Fuller and husband John of Odessa, Gay Nell Taravella of Pittsburg, Pa., and Mary Lou Smith and husband Bob of Glen Lyon, Pa.; also his grandchildren, Megan, Kendall and Garrett Gray and Bailey Kate Clark; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to your discretion.
