ODESSA — Joshua William Slaughter, May 20, 2004 –
May 20, 2004.
My heart is broken today.
God has taken my little buddy away.
I will never hear you cry, I will never feel your woes.
I will never see you smile, or tickle on your toes.
I will never forget your face, or the day from me you parted.
Our little son is gone from us, before his life had started.
Someday I’ll get to know you, I guess I will have to wait.
It helps to know your first steps will be through heaven’s gate.
So if God needs a buddy that shines above the sun,
The greatest gift I give you Lord my Precious Little One.
Love, Daddy
