Lloyd P. Mitchell

ODESSA — Lloyd P. Mitchell, age 77, a longtime resident of Odessa, passed away Friday, July 23, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital.
He was born Aug. 10, 1926, to Will and Ethel Mitchell in Whitewright, Texas.
He married Mildred Mae Donahue on June 16, 1950, in Odessa. She preceded him in death on Dec. 9, 2003.
He was a trick roper for Hardin Simmons University Cowboy Band and served in the Merchant Marines. He sold insurance in Odessa for over 30 years and also served as an Elder at Parkview Church of Christ for 15 years.
Survivors include his daughter, Sharon Ritchie and husband Allen of Belton; and two grandchildren, Alyse and Andrew; and a sister, Irene Warren of Cibolo, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 26, 2004, at Parkview Church of Christ with Dennis Dillon officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
There will be a family visitation from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
