Marion Kenneth Main
ODESSA — Marion K. “M.K.” Main, 85, a longtime resident of Odessa,
passed away Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, at Parks Methodist Retirement
Village.
He was born June 12, 1918, in Joplin, Mo., to Ralph and Mary Main. He
was a retired petroleum engineer. He had worked for Shell Oil Co. for
many years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member
of First Christian Church.
He married Helen Wadkins on Sept. 8, 1940, in Joplin, Mo.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Main of Odessa; son, Stephen K. Main
and wife Lynda of Odessa; daughters, Linda Kay Robinette of Amarillo,
Gail A. Perry of Houston and Marilyn J. Main of Odessa; brother, Max
Main of Battleground, Wash.; six grandchildren; and eight
great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly
Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at the First
Christian Church with Dr. David Mindel officiating. Interment will
follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Robinette, Irvin Neddles, Joey Main, Randy
Morris, Ronnie Self and John Arrick.
Honorary pallbearers will be Guy Elliot, Jack Crane, Walt Banisky, Foy
Bates, Curtis Winn, Hugh Wethersby, L.J. Marrs, Jack Rhodes, Steve
Johnson and Bill Jackson.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
