Ruth Holcomb

ODESSA — Ruth Holcomb, 85, of Odessa, passed away Monday, September 6, 2004, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born June 17, 1919, in Red Springs, Texas.
She married Ocie Holcomb March 23, 1940. They resided in Odessa until Ocie went in the service in WWII and returned to Odessa after the war. Ruth was a homemaker. She loved to fish and her favorite place was Lake Buchanan where she and Ocie spent many happy years.
Ruth was a loving Mother and MeMaw who doted on her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ocie Holcomb on January 3, 2003.
She is survived by her son, Ronald Holcomb and wife, Patsy, of Fort Worth; daughter, Dianne Hughes of Odessa; granddaughters, Tracie Hughes of Odessa and Michele Wilson and husband, John, of Gilbert, Ariz.; great-grandsons, Matt and Sam Wilson of Gilbert, Ariz.; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Holcomb of Fort Worth; and sisters, Rada Hollman and Pearl Moore of Seymour, Texas.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 9, 2004, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating.
The family requests memorials be made to Hospice House of Odessa.
