ODESSA — Frances Louis Sharp, 80, of Odessa passed away Saturday, April 10, 2004, at Terrace West Nursing Home in Midland.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Frank W. Wilson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Clydel Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Frances Louise was born in Whitney, Texas, on Jan. 6, 1924, to Arthur and Mimmie Lea Doshier.
She was married to H. J. “Skeeter” Sharp who preceded her in death. She was a longtime resident of Odessa before moving to Breckenridge in 1987. She returned to Odessa in 2000. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Jack and John Daniels.
She is survived by her five children, Joan Lea Mendoza of St. Louis, Mo., Janette Frances New of Odessa, James Daniel Sharp of Marble Fall, Joyce Darlene Meadows of Gardendale and Michael Eldon Sharp of Gardendale; eight grandchildren, Diron Gene New of Odessa, Albert Cullen New of Odessa, Joan Gabrille Mendoza Aguilar of St. Louis, Mo., Christian Bledsoe Sledge of Lubbock, Michael Ray Jolley of Gardendale, Casey Wayne Bledsoe of Odessa, Dustin Ross Mendoza of St. Louis, Mo., Amanda Lee Mendoza of St. Louis, Mo.; and six great-grandchildren, Krysten Allison New of Odessa, Brytten Danielle New of Odessa, Dyllan Shaye Sledge of Lubbock, Liliana Gabrielle Aguilar of St. Louis, Mo., Francisco Antonio Aguilar of St. Louis, Mo., and Gavin Ryan New of Odessa.
