ODESSA — Mary Jo Morrison, 76, a
resident of Odessa since 1953, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at
her residence. She was born April 23, 1927, in Palo Pinto County, Texas.
She married Robert Morrison Dec. 7, 1945, in Breckenridge. She was a
member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church. She was worthy matron of Eastern
Star Friendship Chapter #1008. She was also a member of the V.F.W.
Ladies Auxiliary in Odessa, and the Lady Shriner, Losa El Mynia in El
Paso.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her oldest grandson, Robert
Dewayne Barbee.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Morrison of Odessa; daughters,
Donna Lea Barbee and Terry Gayle Perkins, both of Odessa; brothers,
James and Bob McAlpine, both of Odessa; sister, Doris Brown of Vinita,
Okla.; three grandchildren, Teri Renee Barbee, Terry Eugene Perkins and
Robert Keith Perkins; and six great-grandchildren, Amber Diane Perkins,
Tammy Ann Clark, Michelle Danette Perkins, Terry Dawn Perkins, Terry
Eugene Perkins III and Cassidy Jaton Barbee; many brothers-in-law and
sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2004, at Chapel
Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Cleere officiating. Interment
will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
