ODESSA — Troy D. Allgood, 86, of Big Spring, died on Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, in a Midland hospital.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa with Rev. Joel Miller, pastor of Birdwell Lane United Methodist Church, officiating.
He was born on March 3, 1917, in Brown County, Texas, and married Ruby Ruth Hudgins on July 20, 1962, in Wink, Texas.
Mr. Allgood had worked for Sid Richardson Carbon Co., retiring after 30 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Birdwell Lane United Methodist Church. He had served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Ruth Allgood of Big Spring; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Jann and Jim Moseley of Odessa; a sister, Frances Morton of Odessa; a niece, Betty Whitley of Midland; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Clara Moseley Allgood; one brother, Doyle Allgood and one sister, Ola Mae Meade.
