ODESSA — Robert Vance ‘Bob’ Scott passed away Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at
his residence in Gardendale. Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 21, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dr. Dewey Blevins
officiating.
Bob was born on July 28, 1929, in Breckenridge, Texas, to John Robert and Thelma
Aline Scott. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He
had been a resident of Odessa since 1966, where he owned and operated Basin
Mobile Movers. He had also worked as a salesman for Bronco Chevrolet for many
years. On March 3, 1988, he married Etta Marie Battles in Odessa. He was a
member of the VFW.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Scott of Gardendale; stepson, James Scott
Norman of Odessa; stepdaughter, Janice Waldrop and husband, Will, of Hennessey,
Okla.; daughter, Alise Evans; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He
is also survived by Sandy Foust of Bulverde, Texas, and Sandee Schraeder of
Casterville, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his brother,
Gerald Scott; and by his son, Richard Allen Scott.
Services are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
