Roberts
ODESSA — Our special wife, mom and Grandma went home to be with the
Lord on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004.
She was born Phyllis Journagan on March 2, 1940, in Clovis, N.M., and
has shared 45 years with her husband, Bob Roberts.
So suddenly has she left him and their children, Brad and Jami Roberts,
and Teri and Harold Thomas. She was a loving Grandma to Amy, DeShea,
Ryan, Cyle, Heather, Kenneth and Tommy. She was a special sister to
Connie and Dan Thomas of Las Cruces, N.M., Inez and Don Creps of San
Jose, Calif., her sister-in-law, Pearl Journagan of Clovis, N.M., and
brother-in-law, Don Roberts of Sacramento, Calif. She was dearly loved
by seven nieces and two nephews, two uncles and numerous cousins.
She loved her church family at Temple Baptist Church. They brought her
such encouragement and joy.
Family was so special to her and she was a solid rock to all of us. We
are so blessed to have had her loving influence in our lives. She was a
source of strength to all who knew her and showed everyone the meaning
of trusting Jesus during any trial.
Wherever Bob’s job took them as they worked the pipelines, her joy
spilled out to others as she touched lives from all over the United
States.
Services are scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, at Temple
Baptist Church with Johnny Thomason officiating. Burial will follow at
Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Memorials can be made to the Hospice House of Odessa.
Life is not measured by the breaths you take, but by the moments that
take your breath away.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
