ODESSA — Carolyn K. Standefer, 62, of
Odessa, went to be with our Lord on Friday, March 19, 2004, in Odessa.
She was born July 16, 1941, in Kermit, Texas, to Woodrow Wilson and Sue
Ann Johns.
Carolyn married Edward Standefer on July 12, 1993, in Odessa. She was a
very loving woman and was extremely dedicated to her family. She enjoyed
spending time with her grandchildren and faithfully attended their extra
curricular functions. Carolyn never met a stranger and had a way of
putting a smile on everyone’s face everywhere she went. She will be
deeply missed.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her mother and father, Sue Ann and
Woodrow Johns; brother, Donnie Johns; and great-granddaughter Chasyti
Page.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Standefer of Odessa; stepson,
Clay Standefer of Brownwood, Texas; daughters, Tammy Neatherlin and
husband Leonard of Odessa, Kandie L. Lockhart and husband Michael of
North Ben, Ore., and Connie Kinney of Odessa; brother, Charles W. Johns
of Evant, Texas; grandchildren, Chris Terry, Kristy Terry, Ashley
Neatherlin, Blake Neatherlin, Justin Bates, Jared Kinney, Aaron Kinney
and Sean Kinney; and great-grandchildren, Kaylynn Terry, Kayli, Page,
Hunter Page and McKenzie Blake.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at the Frank
W. Wilson Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Paul Thompson
officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens
Services entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
