ODESSA — Dorothy Hamilton, 83, of Odessa passed away Friday, March 19, 2004. She was born on July 14, 1920, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Claude and Beulah May Haynes. Dorothy and her family moved to Odessa in 1947.
Dorothy retired from Texas Instruments in 1984 and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Hamilton in 1994, one brother, three sisters and her parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Nelda Faye and husband, James Bradley, of Odessa; sisters, Betty Snodgrass of Odessa, Billie Sue Pate of Dumas and Martha Ann Smith of Hobbs; four grandchildren, James David Bradley, Andrea Swaim and husband, Lesley, Stephanie Black and husband, James, and Chris Bradley, all of Odessa; six great-grandchildren, Casey and Amber Swaim, Amanda and Connor Black, Haylea and Dylan Bradley, all of Odessa.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at Sunset Memorial Chapel with B.D. Berryhill presiding.
Arrangements entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home Hospice of Odessa.
