August DeAnda Chavez ODESSA — August DeAnda Chavez, 31, of Tucson, Ariz., passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, at his residence in Tucson. He was born Aug. 4, 1972, in Tucson to Cecilio C. and Isabel DeAnda Chavez. Mr. Chavez was a Christian Catholic and a self-employed paint contractor. Mr. August D. Chavez was preceded in death by his mother; and grandfather, Dolores DeAnda. He is survived by his father, Cecilio C. Chavez of Tucson, Ariz.; two brothers, Cecilio Gerardo Chavez and Gabriel Craig Chavez, both of Tucson; grandmother, Brijida DeAnda _of Odessa, Texas; nephew, Christopher Chavez of Tucson; niece, Erica Chavez of Tucson; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins in Nevada, California and Texas. Pallbearers will be his uncles and cousins. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, March 1, 2004, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Uecker officiating. Burial will follow at RoseHill Cemetery. |
