 Joe ‘Joey’ Isreal Acosta

ODESSA — Went to be with our Lord on Sunday, January 11th, 2004.
He was our Beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin and most of all Friend.
He was born on May 24th, 1964, to Emma Jose Acosta in Odessa. He was 39 years old.
Joey is survived by many people who loved him and will never forget his kindness and generous heart that made him so special.
He is survived by his parents, Jose Salazar Acosta and Emma Madero Acosta. Sisters include Severa “Shebby” Arinevas and husband Juan, and Amanda Castelo and husband Michael, all from Odessa, Melissa Alvarado and husband Raymond from San Angelo; brother Ricky Bueno and wife Velma from the Colony.
He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews: John Adrian (Andrea) and Erica Arinevas, Brittany and Cody Castelo, all from Odessa. Raymond (Bubba) and Dana (Lovie) from San Angelo and Cassandra, Melanie and Marcus from The Colony. One great-niece, Sarah Arinevas. Maternal grandmother Erminia P. Madero and paternal grandfather Mencho Acosta from Fort Stockton. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, at 7 p.m.
Join us in celebrating Mass for Joey on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004, at 2 p.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Fr. Arturo Pestin officiating. Burial services at Rose Hill Cemetery following the mass.
The family wishes to invite family and friends to St. Josephs Parish hall where we will be gathering until we lay our Joey to rest.
The family wishes to thank the nursing staff on Five Central from Medical Center Hospital for being so kind and gentle with our beloved son during his final journey home. They made Joey’s stay very comforting for both him and his family and fulfilled all his final requests.
