Daniel Rios Jr. ODESSA — Daniel Rios Jr. was born March 3, 1981, in Odessa. He arrived as a miracle Child born two months early weighing 3 lbs. 2 oz. He went to be with the Lord on Jan. 6, 2004, as an anointed mighty man of God with a strong testimony of salvation. He graduated from Zion Christian School in 1998 among the top of his class. He was a fast learner and never afraid to start a new task even if it meant learning in the process. He enjoyed working in the ministry, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed listening to music, video games and playing pool. He was a great artist and proudly shared his artwork. He worked at Latter Rain Christian School for two years. He was also a youth sponsor under Joe Barreraz and other youth pastors. He volunteered countless hours to the expansion of Latter Rain Worship Center. His Pastor Craig DeArmond considered him to be a vital part of all ministries and a close member of his personal family. Pastor DeArmond considered him to be one of the best and most dedicated church members of Latter Rain. He also adds, “Daniel was always willing to do anything for the Lord.” He was always willing to accept new friends and once you were his friend, it was unconditional. His priorities were serving Christ and loving his family. He was proud to be a big brother and always took great pride in helping with his baby sister. Many lives were touched by Daniel. His parents and family feel he was a perfect son. He was never ashamed to hug, kiss and tell his parents and sister how much he loved them on a daily basis. He shared his abundant love and his Christ with everyone and anyone who would listen. He will be greatly missed by all. Knowing his daily walk with God and his great faith is a consolation to his loving family. His grandmother adds she will miss him so much. She expresses her pride in that he was never ashamed to be seen with her. She also acknowledges the many times he stayed home so she wouldn’t be alone.
