ODESSA — Mrs. Jonnie Mae Swafford Jernigan, 84, a former resident of Odessa and a resident of Fairhope, Ala., died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, at her residence.
She was a member of Fairhope United Methodist Church and a former member of First United Methodist Church of Odessa.
Mrs. Jernigan was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. ‘Jake’ Jernigan; a daughter, Doris Pepper; a son, Teddie ‘Ted’ Davidson; and a sister, Oleta Beeler.
She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Davidson and wife, Mary, of Coulee City, Wash., and Bobby Jernigan and wife, Nancy, of Fairhope, Ala.; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Interment was at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa.
