Location: Approximately
15 miles south of Truth or Consequences, NM on Hwy 187.
History: This is still an active cemetery, with rocky soil, wooden crosses and circles of stones. All visible graves have been listed but as with all old cemeteries, there are those unmarked graves. In 1938 the Caballo Dam was built and water began to cover the homes of the early settlers. They moved their homes to the foothills on the west side of the Rio Grand.
