Obituaries

Mr. Carlos R. Whitlock

Pollard Cemetery, Mansfield, DeSoto Parish, LA

SHREVEPORT, LA - Services for Carlos (Corky) Whitlock, 67, will be held at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, Thursday, March 30, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be R.L. Dison, assisted by Nat Scott. Interment will follow in Pollard Cemetery, Mansfield, LA.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home, Wednesday, March 29, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, LaVerne Whitlock; three sons, Kevin Whitlock and wife, Rene, Roy Whitlock, and Joseph Whitlock; three daughters, Wanda Whitlock, Sheila Smith and husband, Robert, Brenda Martin and husband, Forrest; sixteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; other mother, Johnnie Mae Whitlock, whom he loved very much and one sister, Sue Ann Comier, who also shared that love.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Hurd; father, Ray Whitlock; and one sister, Sandra Malloy.

Thanks to the nurses and all the staff and "Garden Park" for their care, especially Karen Williams and Rose.

A very big "thanks" for all the many friends who was so caring. Also to George and Marie Antee who is always there.

Pallbearers will be Bill Kenndey, Robert Smith, Chad Brouillette, Forrest Martin, Skippy Luse, Lamar Patton, Ronnie Salley and Joseph Salley.
