Patrice Permenter Talkington

O. E. Price Cemetery, Logansport

RUSSELLVILLE, ARKANSAS - Funeral Services for Patrice Permenter Talkington will be held at 10:00 a.m. at O.E. Price Cemetery, Logansport, LA with David Permenter officiating. Burial will be at O.E. Price Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Chapel, Logansport, LA from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., December 1st.

Mrs. Talkington was born in Shreveport, LA and grew up in Logansport, LA. She passed away suddenly at her residence in Russellville, Arkansas on November 28th, 2006.

Patrice spent her life helping and taking care of others, including her husband, her family and friends. Any needy person or creature that crossed her path received her attention, including human beings, songbirds, stray cats and even manatees. In her short lifespan she did more good for others than many people do in a long lifetime. Her memory will be cherished by many.

She was preceded in death by her father, C.T.W. Permenter, grandparents, Marie and Frank Strayhan and Vergie and Major Permenter.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Talkington, of Russellville, Arkansas; her mother, Shirley Permenter, of Logansport; brother, Tom Permenter and wife, Janet of Joaquin, TX; sisters, Diane Whitley and husband, Doc of Keatchie, LA and Iris and husband, A.C. Warren of Pagosa Springs, CO, as well as a number of aunts and uncles and cousins.

Also left to mourn their beloved "Aunt Tricey" are her niece, Shelley McDaniel and husband, Jerry D. of Joaquin, TX; nephews, Jeb Whitley, De Whitley, Rusty Permenter, Thomas Permenter; and great-nephews, Jace and Sawyer McDaniel and great-nice, Addison McDaniel.
