Jewell McCoy Joyner

Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Stanley, DeSoto Parish, LA

STANLEY, LA - Funeral services for Jewell Joyner, 94, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Stanley, LA. Officiating will be her grandson Guy Ben Murphrey. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Stanley, LA.

Jewell Joyner, born September 11, 1912 in Lufkin, TX, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2006 in Shreveport, LA. She was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

Jewell Joyner was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Ben Joyner, and her mother, father, three brothers, and a great grandson.

She is survived by sons, Larry Joyner and wife Francis, and Phillip Joyner and wife Gail; daughters, Marian Murphrey and Bennie Eaves; a sister, Annell Smith; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, and great grandsons

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Stanley, LA.
