Obituaries
William Garland Wash, Sr.
Longstreet Cemetery, Longstreet, LA
Funeral services for William Garland Wash, Sr., 71, of Longstreet, were held on Saturday, April 8, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Chapel in Logansport, with Rev. Frankie Mathis officiating and Rev. Paul Warren assisting. Burial followed in Longstreet Cemetery in Longstreet. Visitation was at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport on April 7, 2006 from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m.
Mr. Wash, who was born in the Oak Grove Community, but was a lifelong resident of Longstreet, passed away April 5, 2006 in Shreveport after a brief illness. He was a member of the Woodsprings Baptist Church. He made his living as a truck driver.
Mr. Wash is preceded in death by his wife Charlotte Wash; and parents William and Stella Wash.
He is survived by his son William “JR” Wash and wife Kelly of Longstreet; daughters Donna Martin and husband David of Logansport; and Lisa Cordova and husband Mickey of Stanley; sister Mattie Brazzil of Logansport; grandchildren Brandi Register and husband Josh of Bethel Community; Dusty Wash of Longstreet; Bryan Martin of Logansport; D. J. Martin of Houston, Texas; Cody Cordova of Stanley; Cory Cordova of Stanley; and Denver Martin of Logansport; and great grandson Matthew Register.
Pallbearers were the Christian Motorcyclists. Honorary pallbearers were Doc Cowdin, Harold Timmons and Wallace Holmes.
