Mr. Tyler Eugene Adams

Keatchie Cemetery

KEATCHIE, LA - Funeral services for Mr. Tyler Eugene Adams, 84, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 15, 2006 at Keatchie Presbyterian Church, Keatchie, LA. Officiating will be Patricia M.B. Kitchen. Interment will follow in Keatchie Cemetery, Keatchie, LA.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 14, 2006 at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home.

Mr. Adams was born April 14, 1922 in Shreveport, LA. He entered into rest Tuesday, September 12, 2006 in Shreveport, LA. Mr. Adams retired from the United States Postal Service in Keatchie after 42 years of dedicated service. His last 22 years were served as a rural letter carrier. Mr. Adams loved baseball, LSU football and treasured the years he coached little league baseball in Keatchie.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann Elizabeth Lafitte Adams and daughter-in-law, Bertrand Loftin Adams.

Mr. Adams is survived by his children, Tyler Eugene Adams, Jr. of Shreveport, LA, John Roger Adams and wife, Brenda Wade Adams of Bossier City, LA, and Nancy Ann Williams and husband, Raymond Williams of Ethel, LA; and seven grandchildren, Lucy Walsh, Tyler Eugene Adams, III, Sara Adams, Lisa Frosch, Jeff Williams, Kari Jarrett and Lee Adams.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Eugene Adams, III, Jeff Williams, Lee Adams, Jack Walsh, Joel Frosch and Zach Wall.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Fisher and Donnie Fisher.

Mr. Adams served as a board member of the Keatchie Cemetery Association for many years. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Keatchie Cemetery Association or to Keatchie Presbyterian Church, where he was a member and an elder.
