Donna C. Vance

Grand Cane Cemetery, DeSoto, LA

GRANDE CANE, LA - Funeral services for Mrs. Donna C. Vance, 63, will be held at Gloster Baptist Church, Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Reverend Ron McLellan will preside. Interment will follow in Grand Cane Cemetery, Grand Cane, LA.

The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath's Southside Funeral Home, Tuesday, July 18, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Vance was born July 25, 1942 in Mansfield, LA. She passed away Saturday, July 14, 2006 in Shreveport, LA. Mrs. Vance was a member of Gloster Baptist Church. She recently retired from Employee Benefit Services after 20 years.

Mrs. Vance was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce Foster Chaffin, Sr. and Thelma Lee Chaffin.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Mack Vance; her son, Matthew B. Vance and wife, Leah; her daughters, Pamela Gonzales, and Penny V. Plunkett and husband, Keith; her sisters, Mary Jo Gragg and husband, Gilbert, Amanda Verive, and Suzy Carbone and husband, Bob; her brother, Bruce Chaffin, Jr. and wife, Tammy; and her grandchildren, Ben, Bethany, and Rachel Gonzales; Lynsey and LeAnna Plunkett; and Tyler Vance; several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Gloster Baptist Church or the De Soto Parish Library-Mansfield Branch.
