Mr. Larry Gene Averitt

Forest Park West, Shreveport

STONEWALL, LA - Funeral services for Mr. Larry Gene Averitt, 52, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2006 at First Assembly of God, Pastor Denny Duron presiding. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery, Meriwether Road.

The family will receive friends at the Rose-Neath's Southside Funeral Home Sunday, June 18, 2006 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Mr. Averitt was born March 29, 1954 in Coushatta, LA. To know him was to love him. Larry was a godly man who dearly loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A beloved husband and devoted father, Larry cherished his precious family as he did his friends and co-workers for he was never a stranger to anyone. Larry valiantly fought the good fight of faith and entered into glory shouting "there's victory in Jesus" Friday, June 16, 2006.

Mr. Averitt was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Averitt. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Vicki Lewis Averitt; his mother, Marcella Averitt; his daughter, Alicia Averitt; his son, Brad Averitt; his sister and brothers, Frances Berly and husband, Harry, James Averitt and wife Marilynn, and Carl Averitt and wife Dena; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Stroope, Chris Stroope, Michael McFerren, Eddie Walker, Jack Giles, and William Averitt. Honorary pallbearers will be General Electric employees. Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Southside Chapel.
