Georgia Lee Palmer
Beulah Cemetery, Lula, DeSoto Parish, LA
MANSFIELD, LA - Funeral services for Georgia Lee Palmer, 93, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Rose-Neath Chapel, Mansfield, LA with Rev. William "Jr." Wash officiating. Burial will be at Beulah Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday Sept 8, 2006 from 5 to 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. til service time Saturday.
Mrs. Palmer was born May 4, 1913 in the Hunter community and was a lifelong resident of the Lula community. She was a homemaker and a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Annie Lee Austin and William Hartford Austin; her husband, Thomas B. Palmer; granddaughter, Sandra Patterson; grandson and granddaughter, Jeffrey and Melaine Palmer; 6 sisters and 1 brother.
Survivors are her 5 daughters and two sons, Eloise Patterson, husband Bill of Diana, TX, Virginia Bates and husband Tommy of Mansfield, William Palmer and wife Carolyn of Mansfield, Jeanette Smith and husband Milton of Logansport, Bob Palmer and wife Louise of Mansfield, Sunshine Spielvogle and husband Ken of Shreveport and Rose Mary Martin and husband Terry of Mansfield; also one brother-in-law, W.T. Palmer of Mansfield and sister Muller Hollingsworth Clements of Hunter, 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to her loving care givers of many years, Lorice and Becky Marshall of Mansfield, her doctor Dr. Leggio and all employees of the DeSoto Retirement and Rehabilitation Center who took such good care of her.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
