Kenneth E. "Beazer" Bogle

Keithville, LA - Kenneth E. "Beazer" Bogle, age sixty-three, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2006 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. His loving family and faithful canine companion, Duke, were by his side at his home in Keithville, Louisiana.

Beazer was born and raised in Logansport, Louisiana, graduating from Logansport High School in 1961. After faithfully serving his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict, he returned and served as a deputy for the DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Department. He later spent many years working pipeline construction. Anyone who knew Beazer knew he had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved his family, his horses, and his dog more than anything in the world.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 13 years, Anita McGlathery Bogle; son Lucien Rollins of Blanchard, Louisiana; daughters Kim Howell, Karol Gray and Kristi Sowell of Mauriceville, Texas and Amber Taylor of Mooringsport, Louisiana; daughter-in-law Deidre Rollins of Blanchard, Louisiana; sons-in-law John Howell, Jesse Gray and Chris Sowell of Mauriceville, Texas; Grandchildren Elyssa Howell, Ethan Howell and Kolbie Sowell of Mauriceville, Texas; brothers Tommy Bogle of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Bud Bogle of Logansport, Louisiana; sister-in-law Judy Bogle of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and several special nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Carl Davis, Spencer Hamilton, Bobby Leflett, Billy Mixon, Ronnie Powers, D.V.M., Bobby Saddler, and honorary pallbearer Jerry Burkett.

Services for Beazer will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport, Louisiana. Officiating will be Rev. David Permenter and Rev. Douglas Stone. Interment will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will welcome friends and family afterwards at a reception at the Bethel Church.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Logansport.

The family would like to thank the amazing staff of Christus Schumpert Cancer Treatment Center. Beazer loved giving them all a hard time. He will always be their "Marlboro Man."
