Pearline Williams

SHREVEPORT, LA - Pearline Williams was born March 20, 1923 in Keatchie, Louisiana to the late Mr. Freeman Robinson and Mrs. Mary Johnson Robinson.

Pearline moved to Shreveport in 1948 and united with St. Rest Baptist Church.

Pearline married Sgt. Charlie Williams and was blessed with seven children. She was employed by Schumpert Memorial Hospital as a pharmacy assistant for 22 years.

On October 18, 2008 at 5:00 a.m. in Christus Schumpert, the Lord called her to come home and rest. She leaves to cherish her love and joyful memories: 4 daughters, Ora Benjamin of Texas City, TX, Rev. Iva Thomas of Pearland, TX, Monica Williams of Baton Rouge, LA and Are' Wanda Williams Douglas of Baton Rouge, LA; one son, Bernard Williams and wife (Ella) of Shreveport, LA; a devoted sister, Vickey Nichols of Los Angeles, CA; one devoted brother-in-law, Earnest Harris of Hitchcock, TX; 20 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rest Baptist Church, 1664 Garden Street. There will be an open viewing Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Rest Baptist Church.

Open visitation will be Friday, October 24 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Winnfield Funeral Home (318) 631-0203
