Elizabeth Ann Monk Baack

Union Springs Cemetery, Converse

SHREVEPORT, LA - Services for Elizabeth Ann Monk Baack, 67, will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Union Springs Baptist Church, Hwy 191, Converse, La. Officiating will be Rev. Richard Enterkin, pastor of Union Springs Baptist Church, assisted by Hospice Chaplain Larry Bass. Burial will follow at Union Springs Cemetery, Converse, La.

Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Logansport, La.

Mrs. Baack died Sunday, November 23, 2008 at her residence in Shreveport, La. She was born in Lula, La. and was a resident of Shreveport. Mrs. Baack was self-employed as an independent petroleum landman for the past fifteen years.

She was preceded in death by her father, N. S. Monk, Jr., mother, Effie Mae Monk, brother, Robert Cecil Monk and sisters, Marie Nunley, Dorothy Clark and Jannette Pressword.

She is survived by husband Richard A. Baack of Shreveport, La.; brother, Billy Earl Monk and wife Bonnie of Shreveport, La.; son, Gary Lynn Baack of Memphis, Tenn.; daughter, Deanna Jo Coscia of Memphis, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to give thanks to the Special Care given to Mrs. Baack by the Doctors and Staff on the 2nd Floor at Willis-Knighton Cancer Center, especially Dr. Huan Le, Internist, Dr. Anil Veluvolu, Oncologist, Dr. Michael Durci, Radiation Oncologist, Dr. Anil Nanda, Neurologist and the nurses and assistants in the Chemotherapy Department.

Also, special thanks to the Agape Hospice and to Chaplains, Larry Bass and Amadore Santos, nurse Elaine Honea and Caregiver, Lisa Taylor.
