Barbara Jones

Stonewall Cemetery

STONEWALL, LA - Funeral services for Barbara Jones, 67, will be held Sunday, March 9, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath Southside. Officiating will be Reverend Stan McGee. Interment will follow in Stonewall Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, March 8, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Jones was born February 16, 1941 in Shreveport, LA to Jeff and Ruth Mannies. She passed away March 6, 2008 after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and a member of Salem Baptist Church. She was a former employee of AT&T.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Murphy Jones, Sr. and her parents, Jeff and Ruth Mannies, sister, Janice Tickner. She is survived by her sons, Patrick M. Jones, Jr. and wife Barbie of Stonewall, LA, Jimmy D. Jones and wife Elizabeth of Frierson, LA; sisters, Susan Hart, Juanita Lightfoot, Kathy Hardy and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James Scott Jones, Allen Bounds, Carney Burcham, Javis Smoak, Rusty Baker, Brett Cooper.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Grace Home of Shreveport.
