Johnie Sayers

Shiloh Methodist Cemetery, Shiloh Community, DeSoto Parish, LA

SHREVEPORT, LA- Funeral services for Johnie Sayers, 73, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 15, 2008 at Rose Park Baptist Church. Officiating will be Reverend Terry Dean Sayers and Dr. Rocky Maddox. Interment will follow in Shiloh Methodist Cemetery in Shiloh Community, LA. Visitation will be at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel on Saturday June 14, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Sayers was born September 26, 2008 in Keatchie, LA to Shelly and Viola Thompson. She passed away on June 12, 2008 after a brief illness. She was a resident of Shreveport where she was retired from M.L. Bath Co. as Sales Secretary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Billy Joe Sayers; brother, Ernest Thompson; sister, Della Youngblood.

She is survived by son, Rev. Terry D. Sayers and wife Beverly; daughter, Deborah Skillingstad and husband C.L.; sister, Peggy Culpepper; grandchildren, Chad Sayers and wife Crystal, Darrel and wife Jana; great-grandson, Cooper Sayers; great-granddaughter, Katelyn Sayers.

Pallbearers will be Ferrell Owens, Carl Dyson, Robert Mancil, and C.L. Skillingstad, Darrel Sayers and Chad Sayers.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Brannon and Paul Summerlin. Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Southside Chapel 687-1256
