Funeral for Edna V. Andrews, 89, of Keatchie, La., formerly of Huxley will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel, Center, with the Rev. Ron McClellan officiating. Burial will be in Wimberly Cemetery, Huxley. Mrs. Andrews died Dec. 29, 2008, in Shreveport, La. Born March 7, 1919, in Eldorado, Ark., she was the daughter of Charles and Hattie Prim Porter. She was a homemaker and a member of Gloster Baptist Church, Gloster, La. She was married to Joseph Calvin Andrews, and he preceded her in death. Survivors include sons, Melvin Joe Andrews of Keatchie and Paul Andrews of Denham Springs, La.; daughter, Carol Murphy of Orangeburg, S.C.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from noon until service time Wednesday, Dec. 31. Mangum Funeral Home, Center.
