Pearl Melton

Mansfield Cemetery

HOOVER, AL - Graveside services for Pearl Melton, 78, will be 1:30 PM, Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation will be at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Mansfield Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 on Wednesday, August 20, 2008.

Mrs. Melton was born in Pitkin, LA to James and Annie Perkins. She resided in both Oakdale and Mansfield, LA and was currently living in Hoover, AL. She was a longtime employee of the Bellsouth Telephone Company, including the Alexandria office.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 37 years Elmer Franklin Melton; her two loving brothers and four sisters. Left behind to cherish her memory are her son Gerald Franklin Melton and wife Toni of Atlanta, GA; daughter Sherri Melton Finley and husband John of Hoover, AL; four granddaughters Taryn Lynne Melton Reiss (Dave), Lindsay Brooke Melton Bruening (Christopher), Hannah Nicole Finley, Lora Christine Finley, two grandsons Joel Franklin Finley, John Ceborn Finley III and two great grandchildren Madison Campbell Reiss and Cooper Alan Bruening.
