Joseph Herman Morris

Magnolia Cemetery, Hunter Comm.

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Mr. Morris, 79, will be held at Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel, Wednesday, December 03, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Reverend Toby Shaw will officiate. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in the Hunter Community, LA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 02, 2008.

Mr. Morris was born on June 30, 1929 in Mansfield, LA to Cecil and Catherine Morris. He passed away November 30, 2008 in Mansfield, LA. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was self employed as a carpenter and was a member of the Mansfield Masonic Lodge #250 F&AM.

Mr. Morris is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Jo Morris; sons, Toni Joe Morris and wife, Christine; Ronald Dean Morris and wife, Nancy; daughter, Marilyn Jonette Mayes; grandchildren, Buford Morris, Roy Morris, Rachel Shammerhorn, Keith Mayes, Megan Morris, Jacqui and Jessica Morris; four great grandchildren; a twin brother, Grady Ferman Morris; and sister, Willie Stewart and numerous other family and friends.
