Evelyn C. Vandiver

Highland Cemetery

GRAND CANE, LA - Funeral services for Evelyn C. Vandiver, 84, will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Rose-Neath Mansfield Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Wilton Wager and Bro. Buck. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2008 from 4:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Rose-Neath Mansfield.

Mrs. Evelyn was born May 19, 1924 in Pleasant Hill, LA to William and Pearlie Stockton; and passed away at home with family by her side of November 11, 2008. She was a member of the Mansfield Baptist Church.

Mrs. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Robert C. Vandiver and her parents. Left behind to cherish her memory are her son Robert D. Vandiver; daughters Barbara Farris and Donita Cook; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

Honoring Mrs. Evelyn as pallbearers will be Kenneth Joseph Farris, Sr., Kenneth Joseph Farris, Jr., Dennis Wayne Farris, Sr., Dennis Wayne Farris, Jr., William "Billy" Stockton, and Robert Dale Vandiver, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Calvin Farris, Brandon Cobbs, Newton Farris, Brett Christoferson, Nick Cole, Jarod Farris, Clint Vandiver, Scott Christoferson, and Andrew Farris.
